Houston isn’t resting on its laurels, though. The Astros are set to call up pitcher Vincent Velasquez, who went 3-0 with a 1.37 ERA in five starts at Double-A Corpus Christi. According to MLB.com, Velasquez is the Astros’ No. 4-ranked prospect, and is scheduled to start Wednesday’s game against the White Sox.

The move comes just one day after the Astros called up shortstop Carlos Correa, who is one of the top prospects in baseball and will make his MLB debut Monday at Chicago.

Velasquez, 23, is now the second pitcher that the Astros have called up within a month straight from Double-A without throwing a pitch at Triple-A. Lance McCullers Jr. (2-0, 1.88 ERA) was called up from Fresno shortly after being promoted from Double-A as well.

Roberto Hernandez (2-5, 5.18) was scheduled to start on Wednesday, but will move to the bullpen instead.
