Marco Asensio has made an excellent start to the season, often showing up the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale when he has taken the field.
And on Wednesday, the 20-year-old forward found the net in the Copa del Rey against Cultural Leonesa to mark an impressive individual record.
That goal meant Asensio has now netted in the Copa, La Liga, the UEFA Super Cup and the Champions League so far in 2016-17, with all of those goals coming on his debut in those respective competitions.
No other Liga player has managed that feat in the season, and Madrid’s big guns should be watching nervously over their shoulder at the young prospect desperate to make a name for himself at Santiago Bernabeu.
