Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Briles said Baylor was short of the fourth playoff spot because of an 8-4 selection committee vote. Briles did not reveal a source and failed to elaborate exactly which teams were involved in the vote.
He also stated that he welcomes the “hate” Baylor is receiving from its rivals.

“People talk bad about Patriots. But they are pretty good football team.”
For the second consecutive season, Briles was named a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award. The Bears had the nation’s best offense, averaging 48.8 points and 581.3 yards per contest and is building a dynasty in Texas for years to come.
