Alexandre Lacazette was not offered a contract extension and left for Lyon, with French youngster Matteo Guendouzi also heading for the Emirates Stadium exit door.

Mohamed Elneny was rewarded for his impressive performances in the latter part of the season with a new year-long deal, while Eddie Nketiah ended speculation over his future by signing a lucrative five-year contract.

Guendouzi and Mavropanos both departed after having their purchase clauses activated at Marseille and Stuttgart respectively.
Arteta has recalled William Saliba from a separate loan deal with the Ligue 1 side, and the France international is keen to impress, although Marseille have been tipped to launch a bid to sign him permanently.
