After stepping off the podium, Scott ran up to her boyfriend, Cameron Efurd, who had a surprise in store for her.
Scott, who hails from South Africa, was also surprised by family and friends who flew in for the special occasion, according to Runner’s World.
Another person who was in on the proposal? Scott’s coach, Lance Harter.
“My coach knew I would be getting engaged this past weekend (ahead of) my parents, over me,” Scott said. “He knew.”
