An amber alert was issued for Kaleb Gardner Smith after he was last seen on N 8th Avenue and W Erie Street in Holbrook at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Holbrook Police said Smith left his home on Tuesday morning to go for some exercise wearing a red shirt and black shorts.
He contacted his family a short time later via messenger and has not returned home or to work.
Police said he may have been traveling in a Black 2019 Dodge Charger with a Tennessee License plate number.
But Holbrook Police have since confirmed Kaleb has been located and is safe.
Investigators said the unidentified older white male was aged between 50 and 65 years old, with balding hair.
They also posted pictures of the Black 2019 Dodge Charger on social media while asking for the public’s help with the search for the teenager and appealed for information.
“We are asking the public and his friends, if you have any information as to where Kaleb is at to let us know. Kaleb is not in any criminal trouble and his family just wants to know where he is at and that he is safe,” Holbrook Police had said in a statement.
The article and headline were updated to reflect new information that Kaleb Smith had been found safe.
