While on defense in the bottom of the seventh, Escobar was tossed for drawing a home plate in the dirt behind third base to criticize the umpires after O’s batter Mark Trumbo walked on a 3-2 pitch. Home plate umpire Tim Timmons saw Escobar scribbling from behind the plate, pointed at him and tossed Escobar during Chris Davis’ at-bat.

Escobar was 0 for 3 before the ejection, as his club fell 4-2 to the Orioles in the last game before the All-Star break.
