Drummond is a big, strong dude, but being able to hit a shot sitting down on the floor like that takes so much more skill than people realize. He isn’t known for having a great shot — in two seasons with Detroit, Drummond has shot an astoundingly bad 33 percent on shots outside 3 feet, according to Basketball-Reference.com — so being able to knock one down from halfcourt is doubly impressive.
No doubt it took a few tries, but it’s good to see Drummond having fun with the guys before the U.S. takes on Serbia in Sunday’s final.
