He earned Senior Bowl MVP honors and was taken in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Lions, behind running backs Melvin Gordon, Todd Gurley and fellow Alabamian and former Crimson Tide standout T.J. Yeldon.

Thursday night, the now 5-9, 205-pound Abdullah made his presence felt in the NFL with a 46-yard run in his first exhibition, against the Jets. Watch him shake linebacker Demario Davis with some fancy footwork before turning on the burners and sprinting past nearly everyone else. 

That, of course, had fantasy owners salivating.
