Maddie Crisman took to her Facebook page in an attempt to track down the woman who called 911 while her father was having an aneurysm in his lower intestine.

When the woman, now revealed to be named Priscilla, saw 70-year-old Donald Crisman in pain, she “stopped immediately, called 911 and ran up to the door.” Donald Crisman’s wife was in the shower at the time and unable to hear his cries for help.

“She went and checked on him before running and continuing to knock on the door, making sure the dispatcher got the address right,” noted Maddie Crisman in the social media post. CCTV footage shared by the family shows the woman running around the driveway on the phone, while continuously knocking on the door.

After flagging down neighbors to help, Priscilla left before the family were able to thank her. “She grabbed a neighbor who was in his front yard and flagged down one that was driving down the road about five minutes after she arrived. Without her heroics, it’s very possible he wouldn’t be here,” Crisman told Newsweek.

“All he has to say is ‘get my wife’ and she jumps into action. Seeing her not only slamming on the door, but calling 911 and running over to check on my dad and back up to the door again shows how determined she was to help.

So she took to Facebook in a successful attempt to spread the word. " I started posting in local Facebook groups and on my own page and tried to get the story out,” said Crisman. When local media covered the story, a community member found the business Priscilla was delivering for and made contact that way.

“My first reaction was just an unexplainable amount of thankfulness. I think right now we’ve gotten used to be so divided that I had forgotten that people would help a stranger, and for a stranger to help my best friend and father, truly means the world. There was lots of tears and then determination to find him. I was impressed with how cool and collected she was,” said Crisman.

Donald Crisman underwent a successful surgery and is currently on the road to recovery in the ICU, where he is currently on a ventilator.

“Have a Caramel latte for him—extra hot if you can stand it and wear black and gold or Steelers gear if you’ve got it,” Crisman shared in a social media post.
