On September 19, Max pulled over Phillip Colbert, 22, as Colbert was on his way to lunch with his father. Max followed Colbert—who was obeying the speed limit and had no reason to be under suspicion—for 10 minutes, and ultimately pulled him over. The reason? A pine tree air freshener hung from the rear-view mirror. The stop lasted for about 40 minutes, Colbert says, and as the incident dragged on, he started recording the incident on his phone....

Timothy Bell, 29, has been accused of threatening a man on the street before taking his burrito “by force,” according to a police report filed about the incident. The victim called 9/11 after having his burrito stolen and followed Bell until the police caught up with them at 12th Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix. When police stopped Bell, they found the burrito wrapper on his person. Bell was then taken into custody, where he was booked on one count of felony robbery....

Patrick Phillip Byrne, who’s stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, is accused of killing 42-year-old Denise Smith on July 18. He has plead not guilty. The attack took place at an office building in Downtown Tacoma. Byrne got into an altercation and was punched in the face while at a bar with friends, prosecutors said. He then went to the office building, where he allegedly attacked Smith while she was on duty as a security guard....

Staff Sgt.
